How Blooket modes work (the one big idea)
Every mode reads the same question set. What changes is the game loop wrapped around the questions: answer, then the mode decides your reward — gold to steal with, crypto to hack with, towers to build with, fish to reel in. That's Blooket's whole trick: one set of questions, twelve different feelings. The official help center lists every live mode; our play guide covers how to start any of them.
Live modes (multiplayer)
Gold Quest
Answer questions, open chests for gold, and steal from other players. The chest you pick matters as much as the answer — one chest can triple your stash or hand your gold away.
Best for: Fast classes that like chaos and comebacks
Crypto Hack
Earn crypto by answering, then hack other players' wallets to steal it. Firewall blocks and counter-hacks make it the most strategic live mode.
Best for: Older students who like risk and bluffing
Tower Defense
Correct answers earn Blooks that defend your path against waves of enemies. Longer rounds, deep strategy, and a co-op variant for teams.
Best for: Strategy fans; long sessions
Fishing Frenzy
Answer questions to cast your line and reel in fish of varying rarity — including a handful of ultra-rare catches worth big points.
Best for: Calm, collectible-focused sessions
Cafe
Serve customers by answering questions and restocking food. A store-management loop that runs itself once students know the flow.
Best for: Solo or homework-style play
Battle Royale
Players duel head-to-head in knockout rounds until one champion remains. Fast, competitive, and best with bigger lobbies.
Best for: Energetic end-of-class finals
Factory
Build a Blook-producing factory line, upgrade it, and survive sabotage events. One of the best tokens-per-question rates on the platform.
Best for: Token farming and steady sessions
Racing
Correct answers move your racer forward. Pure speed mode — no items, no stealing, just answer faster than everyone else.
Best for: Quick drills and warm-ups
Monster Brawl
Defend your base from waves of monsters between question rounds, then upgrade your defenders. A tower-defense cousin with simpler rules.
Best for: Classes that loved Tower Defense but want shorter rounds
Deceptive Dinos
Answer questions to earn fossils and dodge deceptive dino events. A relaxed mode with light strategy and dinosaur collectibles.
Best for: Younger classes
Solo & homework modes
Tower of Doom
A solo card-battle mode where Blooks with stats battle up a tower. One of the original modes and still a favorite for homework assignments.
Best for: Homework and self-paced play
Crazy Kingdom
A solo resource-management mode: answer questions, then balance your kingdom's food, people, and happiness through event choices.
Best for: Self-paced decision-making practice
Both solo modes come from Blooket's original lineup and remain homework favorites — self-paced, save-on-quit, and report-friendly for teachers.

Seasonal and limited modes
Alongside the permanent twelve, Blooket runs limited-time modes during seasonal events. They appear on the host screen while the event is live and typically pair with event packs and shops — our Market guide covers why saving tokens ahead of an event is the collector's best habit.
Picking settings before the mode matters
Mode choice is half the host decision — the other half is lobby settings: random names, late joining, question order. Those live in our hosting guide, and the token math lives in our calculator.
Frequently asked questions
How many Blooket game modes are there?
Twelve are live right now: Gold Quest, Crypto Hack, Tower Defense, Fishing Frenzy, Cafe, Battle Royale, Factory, Racing, Monster Brawl, Deceptive Dinos, Tower of Doom, and Crazy Kingdom. Most run in live lobbies; Tower of Doom and Crazy Kingdom are solo/homework modes.
Do all Blooket game modes use the same questions?
Yes — the mode changes what happens between questions, not the questions themselves. One question set can run as a gold-heist (Gold Quest), a strategy defense (Tower Defense), or a fishing trip (Fishing Frenzy) without editing a single question.
What is the best Blooket game mode?
Depends on the room: Gold Quest for fast chaotic fun, Crypto Hack for strategy-loving older students, Tower Defense for long deep sessions, Racing for quick drills, and Tower of Doom or Crazy Kingdom for homework. There's no global best — only the best fit for your class.
Which Blooket mode earns tokens fastest?
Fan measurements put Gold Quest and Factory at the best tokens-per-question rates. Whatever the mode, earnings still cap at 500 tokens per day — our calculator shows how many games that takes.
Which Blooket modes work for solo play or homework?
Tower of Doom and Crazy Kingdom run fully self-paced. Several live modes work for homework too — hosts assign them with deadlines from any set, and results land in reports like live games.
Are there seasonal Blooket game modes?
Yes — Blooket runs limited-time modes during seasonal events, alongside the event shops. Check the host screen during events; limited modes appear there while the event is live.
